STEP 2: PRINTING
We recommend bright white paper or cardstock which is 120gsm in weight or heavier. This ensures a professional finish, and a nice shape to the completed box.
When printing your box, please make sure that your printer or local print store, is set to print to a full edge bleed. Some printers automatically insert a margin of white space, which is not suitable for this design, and may cut off the edges!
You can also select the 'Fit' option when printing, to ensure the design will fit onto your particular paper size.
Please visit the PRINTING TIPS page for detailed information and recommendations for print stores and online printing services.
➤ COPYRIGHT RELEASE FORM: Some professional printers require permission from the designer/owner of digital files protected under copyright law before they will allow you to print. Please feel free to download our copyright release form, entering the date and your name.

STEP 3: ASSEMBLING
- Cut out your Pirate Treasure Chest Box along the outline, as well as making cuts along the lines on the two curved edges on the box lid sides.
- Pre-fold your box on all lines to make assembly easier.
- Fold all small cuts along curved edge of lid so they are even and no white paper is showing.
- Glue the box front to the box sides first on the tabs provided, followed by the back tabs.
- Now place a small amount of glue on each small cut tab on 1 side of the curved edge and glue into the top of the box (the skull & crossbones) – do the same with the other side. *Please note: This part is very fiddly, and you may need to spend a little bit of time getting it right.
- Adjust the black inside tabs and lid tab so the lid will stay in place when closed – and you’re all done!
