We hosted a Vintage Carnival Birthday Party recently and decided to get super creative with the Cupcakes....come one, come all indeed!
We wanted to incorporate as many delicious Carnival flavours into our cupcakes as possible, (without going too crazy!).
We decided to bake Chocolate Chip Cupcakes and filled them with a Salted Caramel filling, to give them that delicious oozy centre.
We then decorated with Turquoise butter cream icing (we created the turquoise simply using lots of blue). To complete the look, we added a Pretzel, Caramel Popcorn and some white Persian Fairy Floss (or Cotton Candy, depending where you're from!) to decorate each.
Considering the mix of flavours, I was a little worried, but to be honest, they tasted amazing!
Tip: The Persian Fairy Floss/Cotton Candy doesn't like the moisture of the icing, so must only be added minutes before serving, as it will start to disintegrate fairly quickly.
The Vintage Carnival Cupcake Toppers are available for purchase in our Online Shop.
Enjoy and have fun making your own delicious creations! xo Amy
